Join the new platform of European film festivals!MovieFreeWay

1. What exactly does our product offer? Our product offers the combined efforts of European cinematographers and European film festivals to promote European cinema of various genres through the creation of a new platform of film festivals. This platform will improve the diversity and quality of European cinema. The advantages of this platform of film festivals will be the greatest coverage of European directors and film festivals, the development of young European talents and the increase of European cultural diversity in the production and distribution of European cinema. In addition, this platform will have long-term business relations with most European cinemas in order to enable directors and producers from Europe to release their films directly through this platform. Given that the European Union does not yet have such a platform for festivals and directors, we hope that this platform will receive support within the framework of the European Union programs, in particular, within the framework of the Creative Europe program. 2 How is our product designed to work? The platform with the working title "MovieFreeWay" will be implemented as a free electronic online service for registering festivals and filmmakers and an electronic online service for filing applications from filmmakers at any of their chosen film festivals with electronic download of multimedia files through the "MovieFreeWay" platform. 3 What is the next stage of development of this product? We see that the next stage in the development of the MovieFreeWay platform will be the creation of an electronic online service for distributing films uploaded by European filmmakers, which will expand the audience of European cinema and give a new impetus to the development of European cinema, since directors will have additional income from simplification procedures for concluding contracts for the distribution of their films in European cinemas. 4 How do we plan to attract financing for this product? At the initial stage, we plan to receive initial funding from support programs for European audio-visual content that exist within the European Union. Links to these programs are attached. We hope that the Eurimages Foundation or the CreativeEurope Foundation will be able to give us a grant of between 40,000 and 60,000 euros during 2020. Our hope is based on the fact that the concept and objectives of the MovieFreeWay platform fully coincide with the goals and objectives in the field of supporting festivals and the development of audio-visual content set by the Council of Europe Foundations “Eurimages and CreativeEurope”. In addition, we plan to attract at least 1000 film festivals to our platform over the next 2 years after the launch of the MovieFreeWay project, which will allow us to receive at least 300,000 euros as an investment in the platform, since the entrance fee for festivals will be 300 euros, unlike from the FilmFreeWay platform, on which the entry fee for festivals is about 500 euros. In addition, we plan to receive an operating profit of at least 200,000 euros for the next 2 years of the platform’s operation. This profit will be received from the commission of the "MovieFreeWay" platform when filing film applications at any of the paid film festivals. In total, over the next 2 years we plan to attract at least 550,000 euros as sources of financing.
